Learning how to write an ebook that sells is not all that difficult. You need to do some research before you start, however. I know, you want to know what to write about. To determine what to write about, I would suggest that you get a notebook. No, not your PC. Just a simple notebook will do fine. Start making a list of your favorite hobbies. If you like scrap booking, boating, woodworking, sewing, collecting old stuff.you can write about it.

Start with an outline of topics, which is similar to a table contents. You can start off with a brief introduction to your subject. then progress down your list by writing about what you know that might be of interest your readers.

There must be a huge audience for this one! I mean, watching a fat guy shoot a creature from the swamp has got to be on the top ten reality shows list.  I like the part where the fat guy yanks the dead creature in to his little boat and wondered if his daddy will appreciate his supreme effort. I know I’m impressed, how about you? I watched a Hollywood celebrity drone on over this show. I think he liked the part where the fat guy shoots and misses the creature. That fat guy gets criticized for missing a 10 inch shot. ”My daddy will be very up set with me”  Well, I guess so, cuz you only have one bullet!!

Ha, the most exciting part of Swamp People is the boat ride. The scenery is just breath taking and you can actually see the green slime! Yep, this show is for me. When the show first aired, I wondered just who the hell would watch this pile of crap. But, apparently they do.

I don’t know about you but, for me baiting a hook and shooting a creature from the black lagoon is as interesting as watching grass grow.

I just changed my URL from jackpotwinning.com to netnewsjournal. A close friend of mine told me she would be afraid to post my jackotwinning link on her FaceBook wall. So, thinking that most folks would not click on it I decided to change my URL to netnewsjurnal.com. Well, I had to go thru hell to get it up and running. I was hoping that I would see more visitors, and I did. But, they stop coming. I am not sure why but maybe my content sucks. It’s hard for any blogger to know how to write “quality content”.  The experts say to “focus” on niche that people are searching for. I am not that kind of article writer. I write what I like and I don’t much care about a high Google page ranking. I don’t like search engine limitations.

I like folks like you to pass the word and let people know I’m here. Many folks like you actually read my stuff and leave a comment. I do get some weird comment, like “I love your blog” but they only visited to home page and did not bother to click on an article except to find a place to put their link on.

Hell, I don’t know! I just keep going until my brain slams shut. When my eyelids yield to gravity I take my foot of the gas and find a restroom.  Have you ever noticed your pet’s  (I hope you have a dog ) sleeping habits? My dog just lays on the floor and sleeps all day with minor pee pee breaks. She does a soft shoe dance to wake me up for her sniff and run. Dogs have this crazy instinctual idea that they have to find the perfect spot or it’s a no go.

If you’re retired, your day is full of meaningless choices. My favorite is fighting sleep. Ya, I know, that’s not a choice! But, this happens when I want to watch my TV programs. Has that ever happen to you? I put a sticky note on the tele to remind me of the date, time and channel. That way I’m sure to watch it. What a &^$* joke! I know that to be true because I am a professional couch potato.

As always, sleep is the winner. Now if I could just find a way for the tele to know that I am a sleep… I could go green. Sleep has a rather profound way of keeping you awake when it’s time for bed. I think it has something to with the bed and it’s physiology. You know that a bed can be used for all kinds of things. When you’re young it’s just natural, but when you’re old it’s a place to pile your PJ’s on and hope that your sexy lady is ready. So, you lay awake dreaming of the good ol days when you had a spring   in your step.

Don’t fight it – go to bed!

Do you believe that content is king and matters? Do you use content management tools?

Don’t be fooled, content is the king and queen of blogging. Well, that’s what the experts say. What do you think? I have published many articles with the  appropriate keywords to attract visitors. Spent several hours editing my article and then ceremoniously published it. Oh boy this should attract a ton of readers. Wait, my article needs to be indexed or no one will even know it’s there.  Only time will tell if you have a viral article. And still no one read it. Hmm, now what? Okay, I copy my title and paste it in Google search. Nope not there!

Has that happen to you? I know, it sucks! So, is content the cats meow it’s cracked up to be?  I say no! Why? I think that your use of keywords is king, particularly  in your title and sub title. You may want to use Google keyword search to determine what content to write. I know, it sounds strange to let keyword searches determine your topic.

You need to use the “middle of the road” approach. That is, choose a keyword that is not the top dog or the runt.  Highly competitive keywords will not translate into a ton of visitors. Your page will be somewhere near the end of the search list. Nor do you want to pick the least competitive keyword. You’re looking for keywords that have a fair amount of monthly searches with little competition.

The keyword used in this post is “content” here is Google keyword search for this keyword:

As you can see, my keyword is low on the competition graph but has 13 million global searches with 5 million local searches a month.  About all I can do now is wait and see how long it will take to rise on the search engine. Since the keyword “content” is a broad keyword it will produce over 922 million web pages. But, if I use a keyword phase “content management” as my  search I get 216 million pages.

What this means is that you should use multiple keywords and keyword phase in your articles. and tags. When it comes to search engines, there is no fast path to a page one listing. Is ontent the core of the online world, or are algorithms for search and targeted advertising?

What you need to do when Google AdSense (engine) emails you a rejection notice.

Google is the big bully on the search engine block. If your site does not meet their very high and impeccable   standards, you can’t join their exclusive AdSense club. I’ve read blogs that claim that they “earn” a great deal of income from AdSense. But,  the truth is somewhat elusive when it comes to income claims. Google demands that you conform to their web standards. So you have to sacrifice your creativity in order to join the club.

I have taken sometime to review their standards and find that your site must meet a standard that gives Google the advantage. It appears that if you’re a blogger, you may have to write content that Google AdSense  can capitalize on. If AdSense engine can’t find an ad to place on your site, you’re out.

So, here is the non-human email message you receive from AdSense after you apply for an AdSense account.  This rejection notice was received in about 10 min after application.

“We did not approve your application for the reasons listed below. Issues: Site does not comply with Google policies

Further detail:
Site does not comply with Google policies: We’re unable to approve your AdSense application at this time because we feel that your site does not comply with Google AdSense policies or webmaster quality guidelines. It’s our goal to provide our advertisers sites that offer rich and meaningful content, receive organic traffic, and allow us to serve well-targeted ads to users. We believe that currently your site does not fulfill this”

Note, that they say “webmaster quality guidelines” what this means is that, you must produce a website that gives them the edge. If you think about the term “quality content”  you will be able to understand its real meaning.

Quality content means that your article must have keywords that closely align with one or more of Google’s advertisers’ keywords.  When you build a website or page, you need to consider keywords that web searchers (people) are seeking or you may not get very many visitors. Keywords are what search engines thrive on to get adverting dollars.

Of course you need to understand that it’s their ball game and their rules apply to all applicants .

Don’t give up!
You can still place affiliate ads on your site that may actually give you the edge you need to earn money. Google is not the only game in town. You can take some time to view the ads I have on my blog to give you a good idea of where to go to become an affiliate.

AdSense uses contextual links – and so can you.
For example, if you sign up with Amazon and use their ad links, you can emulate AdSense links on your blog or website.  Instead of earning AdSense’s nickles and dimes, you can earn a great deal more. You can also join ClickBank’s affiliate program and if you’re a blogger, you can use the ClickBank contextual ad plugin.

Contextual links relate to your website content or blog article’s keywords. There is a downside to this. When someone clicks  on a link, they leave your site. So, you need to make sure that a new page opens when a visitor clicks on a link.

It’s your end game
So, don’t get discouraged if Google AdSense sends you a rejection email. AdSense is simply a contextual ad campaign which you can do without having to give up your creativeness  to their so called webmaster standards. It’s your website, build it anyway you want to!

Despite of what’s been happening, and to those who has gone though the ordeal, it’s better to just laugh while facing the troubles with a clear mind than anger with a clouded vision. One of my favorite celebrities of all time may have to be Woody Allen. Now this is one guy who gives you the in-your-face bluntness that he pulls out with gusto, even without even trying. You can talk just about anything with a man, and he’s bound to mock the subject and you’ll end up laughing rather than being upset about it.

It is always a good thing to have friends, which you can socialize with. There are so many good things about being around people. It is difficult living alone without someone there to lend you an ear when needed.

unfortunately, we live in a world filled with consume souls, which rarely take the time to share and listen to others. Still, you can find someone in the billions of people in the world who will listen. When you are alone you, feel lonely. At this time your body and

Every once in awhile  I check my blog stats to see how many visitors came to my blog.   I think that many bloggers sometimes get disappointed with their stats. I know I do but, try as I might they just don’t land on my home page.  My WordPress blog is a magnet for spammer and hackers. Has that happen to your blog? I blocked most IP’s that look like spammers and that seems to work fine, at least for now. My site is well protected against these guys. I guess i’m crying out

I’ve tried article marketing to see if I can drive some traffic to my site. But, what I’ve found is that most article directories remove my site link but keep the article. Classified ads don’t work much better. Social Media seems to work but, only if you you can capture the readers interest with a cool headline.

I do like Stumbleupon,  but,  it’s hard to get someone to follow you. Twitter is on over-load. By the time you read a few tweets, you’ve got 100 more. Every now and then I take some time to find out who the top blogs are. I ran across the NYT  review of the “Best Blogs 2011. They have a listing of 25 blogs in the most popular categories. I am not sure how they determine which ones are the best blogs. But, the ones I viewed from the NYT website are are top quality blogs with excellent content. I like the “Big Picture” from Boston.com Just like the name implies, they have photographs in very large formats from all over the world. Most are photos of news coverage, some you may have seen on the TV.

This one is actually a real blog (in my humble opinion). It’s called a travel blog but it’s not your typical travel blog with lots of ads. It’s a very interesting read. You can visit Everywhereist

Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday! What a spiritual renewal to take a day to reflect over the past year about just how good God has been to you and your family, to give you harvest and shelter, health and hope. To get the most out of this joyous occasion, make some holiday crafts with your children. These days, Thanksgiving often gets squeezed out by Hallowe’en’s spooky decorations and the lights and gala of Christmas. With the following holiday crafts, your home can be decorated for this quieter but important celebration.

Turkeys are a natural choice for decorations. A familiar project at this time of year is for a child to trace around her hand and make the resulting drawing into a turkey. The thumb is the head and the fingers are the tail feathers all displayed. While many of the turkeys that are raised for food are now the domestic white variety, the turkeys eaten by the Pilgrims at the first Thanksgiving were the wild brown ones. The tail feathers on a wild turkey are brown, but they are iridescent. catching light and appearing to be multi-colored. This is why children color the tail feathers in bright colors.

The turkey’s head has a wattle under the beak. This is a vertical flap of loose skin that is red colored. Be sure to draw this in order to make the hand turkey look like a turkey. Add skinny legs and bird feet. When done, the children can cut out the turkeys and hang them on the wall. It’s really cute to make a whole flock of these turkeys in the sizes of all the hands in the family. The little hand shapes are particularly sweet.

Another nice turkey decoration to make when making Thanksgiving holiday crafts is a turkey door decoration. Make a brown construction paper body and head of a turkey. Now make a large number of colored feather shapes. Each family member writes on a feather something he or she is thankful for before attaching as part of the turkey’s tail. Repeat until all the feathers are used, and hang the turkey on the front door to greet visitors with a message of gratitude. Make a sign to accompany the turkey that says “Give thanks to the Lord for He is good!” or simply “Be thankful!” or “We’re thankful for you!” or whatever you like.

Children love making construction paper chains. To further decorate the house for Thanksgiving, let them make a paper chain in fall colors as one of their holiday crafts. Using 9 by 12 inch construction paper, cut the paper in half across the long side and cut the halves into one inch thick six inch long strips. Use a stapler to attach the ends of the strip into a circle. Loop the next strip into the circle and staple it. Continue the process alternating colors of brown, red, yellow, and orange. When the chains are long, you can drap them along the ceiling or stair rail. If you don’t make the door turkey, the children can write something they’re thankful for on each strip of paper before adding it to the chain.

Thanksgiving is too nice a holiday to let the other more commercial holidays crowd it out. By making holiday crafts to decorate the home for Thanksgiving, you can keep this day special, too. The extended family, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc., will be pleased to see the holiday crafts the young ones have made to decorate the house and make it cheerful for their visit.
